Cancer Causing Baby Products!

Thursday, January 17, 2013

ALL PARENTS MUST READ!!

Do you use Johnson & Johnson Products on your infant or child? There has been CANCER CAUSING CHEMICALS found in the baby line of Johnson & Johnson products!
 Please read below!

When I got pregnant with my first baby I had a huge baby shower thrown by my mother and sister. At the baby shower I got tons of Johnson & Johnson baby products! I loved the smell and thought I would definitely be using them on my new arrival.

Once my little boy came I had a family member tell me not to use Johnson & Johnson because of some of the products found in them were harmful to the baby. I figured if the hospital was using these products I could just them on my baby. Within a few short weeks my little boy got Eczema; a skin condition were his skin would break out in dry rashes all over his body. I didn't think much of it or relate his skin condition to the products. The only thing that seemed to work to make his skin better was a doctor prescribed steroid cream. I did not like putting this on my baby but it was the only thing that seemed to work!

When I had my second child I was still continuing to use Johnson & Johnson on my now 3 year old boy who still suffered from Eczema and planned to use it on my little girl. After the delivery the nurses started to give my sweet baby girl her first bath. I noticed that they were no longer using Johnson & Johnson products. When I asked why they were not using them, they told me there were some harmful chemicals in the Johnson & Johnson products that the hospital did not approve of.

I decided to research more into Johnson & Johnson and was shocked at the results found in this article:

CANCER CAUSING CHEMICALS??

I immediately switched brands to Arbonne Baby Care Line which is an all natural product. Within weeks of switching my 3 year old to this product his eczema has completely cleared up and I no longer have to use expensive prescription creams on him.  Not only did it clear up his skin but he has not had a outbreak since I switched him 10 months ago. As far as my little girl she has been on Arbonne since birth and has not had a single skin problem. Not only does it work, it smells just like a baby!
Arbonne Baby Line is not sold in stores but you can purchase them:

There is other all natural baby lines out there that you can use on your baby and I highly recommend doing so. Please make sure you read the ingredients before putting ANY product on your child, especially infants.

Johnson & Johnson also uses these same chemicals in their adult like Neutrogena, Aveeno and Clean & Clear. For all natural adult products please see HERE.

Clothing size organizer tutorial

Sunday, January 13, 2013

I saw some clothing size organizers on Pinterest and fell in love with the idea for three reasons.
 #1. It's cute!
#2. It keep things organized.
#3. So that my husband wouldn't complain about finding an outfit for our daughter. (Sometimes I keep clothes that are slightly too small in her closet or I will see a good deal and buy her clothes way in advance, making the sizing a joke to find!)

My only problem was I couldn't find a tutorial anywhere. So I made my own and here is how!

What you need:
Scrapbook paper
Hot glue
Scissors
Hanger

First cut your paper in 5in x 12in.

Then take the paper and fold it back.

Then fold it the opposite way; folding it as a fan.

Do this to the whole paper.

Pinch it in half and hot glue the center.

Take the top half and glue the sides together.

Place hot glue on the end of the paper.

And glue it to the top of the hanger.

Then create your sizing label.

Glue the size to the other paper.

Then make as may sizes as you need!

And you are done!

Closet Organizing Tips

 After post my daughters nursery:
I got many questions about how I organized her room once I put all of her baby items in it. So here is how I organized it!

My baby girl definitely has enough bows so I needed somewhere/somehow to organize them. I made a clip holder HERE. But after I made it I realized most of her bows are headbands. So I decided to get a glass jar and add a ribbon to it. I think it turned out cute and works excellent for headbands!

To organize her toys and stuffed animals I bought some storage bins. There were at Target for about $5. I think they were great and come in super cute colors! I also label them to make it look even more organize and to help the hubby know exactly where to put things!

For her clothing I use clothing size organizers that I made, HERE. I organize all the clothing by sizes then color coordinate them. I have a thing with color organizing clothing in closets ha! Makes it super easy to find. I also only hang up shirts. I fold up the bottoms and put it in drawers.

Her little shoes are lined up at the bottom!

I also fold up blankets at the top and  line up the toys at the bottom.
And there you have it. Simple, organized closet!

Also one thing I like about her room that is organized is her changing station. I decided not to buy a changing table but turned part of her dresser into a changing station. Then I put all her changing supplies in the top drawer; diapers, wipers, lotion, ect..

Keep the questions and ideas coming! I would love to hear more from you guys about what you think I should blog about! :)
